Since a teenager my passion was to become a beautician. I started doing my classmates hair in high school. I then enrolled into night school to get my cosmetology license. I completed the course and passed the state examine the summer of my high school graduation years.
I have three state cosmetology licenses.
Furthering my pursuit as a beautician, healthy hair care has driven me to develop my own hair care product line for women and men that is natural and affordable. As my specialty is in artificial hair extension.
I created a human and synthetic hairline in conjunction with designing and making custom sheitels (wig).
My commitment to the beauty industry motivated me to go back. I enrolled in a teacher training program to teach cosmetology. While teaching at a local community college I completed my bachelor’s degree in Workforce Education and Development. I then that that is where my true journey would begin. I left the community college and open my own academy teaching artificial hair extensions to individuals. Owning my own school has been exciting and challenging. I published my own students manual and workbooks.
During my career, I have worked hard to accomplished most of my short-term and long-term goals. This journey has clearly given me the communication, organizational, management, research and planning skills that I will need moving forward.

As a self-directed passionate educator, I’m committed to continuing my education further by completing a master’s degree program and obtain my teaching credentials. I will be attending a variety of professional development workshop centered around student learning behavior, classroom management and curriculum planning. My final educational goal is to complete Extensions R Us Academy accreditation process.
Motivation and participation are what’s needed for self-preservation. To be successful in life one must be consistent and determine to cultivate your expertise required to thrive.

Serving Students: I am committed to serving the students through my one-on-one teacher conferences, where I explain to students how it is very important to attend all their classes even if they have fallen behind. I reassure each student how we can work together to catch-up missing assignments and develop a personal action plan to help facilitate a better grade.
